Great public libraries need friends to provide advocacy support, financial resources, and strong connections to the community.

We believe that Portland deserves a group of citizens and businesses committed to excellence in its public library.

Friends of Portland Public Library works to further the mission of the Library and promote community engagement among the Library’s diverse users.

Friends of Portland Public Library is an independent organization. We work closely with the Library’s Board of Trustees and staff to support and enhance the Library system.

Membership is open to everyone!
